Highwood Consultants Ltd is a privately owned company with its head office based at Ryde on the Isle of Wight, which is located off the south coast of England. The company currently manufactures all its products in Ryde but is now in the process of establishing an additional manufacturing facility in the North West of England.

The company was originally founded in 1995 by Ross Cooper, the originator of the production of synthetic wood using extruded structural foam polymer. Ross was a major shareholder until 16th July 2004 when he sold his majority shareholding to the Hargreaves Family more famous for the successful Matalan retailing organisation. Ross is still today a shareholder and remains active within the business as a Technical Consultant.

Significant investment has been made over the years in furthering research and development and also into new plant and machinery and currently has a production capacity of in excess of 1,800 metric tonnes. This position is to be further enhanced through additional available funds, with the change of ownership, for development into a North West facility, new product areas and improved manufacturing techniques. The capacity can be readily increased further on a more global scale with additional lines located either here in the UK or through a licence/facilities management in other areas around the world.

We have successfully established a substantial customer base both in the UK, Europe, USA and the Far East.
